I’m an Austin, Texas wedding photographer and lifestyle photojournalist. And man do I LOVE what I do!
My goal as a photographer is to capture all the life, love, emotion, authenticity, and beauty found within each of us. That’s right. I think you are beautiful. And I won’t have you argue with me that you’re not! When you’re in front of my camera, I want you to be silly, be bold, be sexy, be sassy, and above all, be real. I want to capture you! You’ll never hear me say “say cheese.” You will hear me say “Nice! I love it! You’re gorgeous!” A lot. And I mean it every single time.
I’m a story teller and a romantic at heart. You may not notice, but I’ll likely get teary-eyed at some point during your wedding. Yes, I’m a crier. Don’t worry though, I can shoot through watery eyes. In fact those are my favorite shots! When I’m right in there, with you, experiencing the day with all it’s wonderful joy and emotion.
I say let the love flow! The Beatles were right: All you need is love. And I believe that will all my heart and soul.

Rita has literally held a camera in her hand for as long as she can remember. From anti-war protests to live music shows and hanging with friends, she would capture it all through her lens. So, after making the decision to leave the corporate world and pursue her passion, becoming a wedding and portrait photographer was a natural choice.
Rita’s lifelong love for photojournalism and live music has provided her the opportunities to shoot for festivals such as SXSW and she can bee seen around Austin regularly shooting live music shows and events for Do512.com and Fashionably Austin.
