Okay, so this post kicks off the first of many posts I’ll be making about my experience this year at SXSW. I’m happy to say that my feet have finally stopped hating me but my spirit still longs for the amazing energy that comes from fully immersing yourself into the whole SXSW experience. So, I keep getting asked: Will you shoot again next year. My answer: Hell yeah, if they’ll have me! In fact, I wanna find even more festivals to shoot at! I’ve always loved live music and SXSW happily opened my heart up to it again and I refuse to let it shut down.
So, first on deck with my blog is a band called Ruby Isle from Minneapolis. They were the first to go on at Lamberts BBQ, the venue I was assigned to cover. And I’m telling you, what a fantastic way it was to kick off the music festival. These guys have so much energy you could feel it throughout the venue. It’s clear they genuinely have fun creating with each and just being silly and crazy and free. I really loved it!
